General information, not legal advice
This website gives general information about Ashley Vaughn’s law practice. It isn’t legal advice, and it may not reflect the most current law. Please don’t rely on it to make decisions about a legal matter without advice from a lawyer who knows the facts.
No attorney-client relationship from using this site
Reading this website, or contacting Ashley by email or phone, doesn’t by itself create an attorney-client relationship.
Before you share details of a matter
Until Ashley has confirmed that she can take on a matter, please share only the basics, such as the parties’ names and the type of case, rather than confidential details. Information you share about a possible matter is still subject to Ashley’s duties under the Oregon Rules of Professional Conduct, which limit how a lawyer may use or reveal it.
AI tools and confidentiality
You should be aware that the use of generative AI platforms, including but not limited to ChatGPT or Claude, generally is NOT CONFIDENTIAL. Any input of your information into such platforms likely waives confidentiality, and such information may be required to be produced in litigation. The use of AI-generated summaries of information relating to your case is highly discouraged.
Inquiries from the public
Ashley works with attorneys and law firms and does not currently accept inquiries from the public, unless referred by another attorney. If you need a lawyer, the Oregon State Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service can help.
Where Ashley is licensed
Ashley is licensed to practice law in Oregon only. When she has co-counseled cases in other states, she has done so with pro hac vice admission, meaning a court’s permission to appear in that one case.
